13: Boss, your woman is...

Tian Ming’s method was simple: unite the survivors of the Shelter by distributing resources based on need.

Currently, the zombies are concentrated within the city, but no one can guarantee they won't run out.

Under Tian Ming's arrangements, rooms were reallocated, patrol teams and duty teams were formed, and personnel were assigned to collect food and search for supplies and water.

Although Tian Ming could solve the resource problem, there were hundreds of people; he could cover their basic needs, but he would absolutely refuse to support so many people alone.

If he had to do that, he wouldn't be able to do anything else all day, just producing supplies for this group of people. What would be the point of being a leader then? As more and more people joined in the future, he wouldn't be able to support them.

The Shelter lacked everything right now, and many people hadn't been assigned tasks, so they could only receive a basic three hundred grams of food for the time being.

However, Tian Ming didn't set this in stone; as long as someone could solve existing problems, he would reward them with food or other supplies.

The people in the square had dispersed, and only a little bit of supplies remained.

Gouzi said with a long face, “Boss, at this rate of distribution, our supplies will only last a week. Could you, perhaps, conjure up a bit more for us?”

Tian Ming cursed, “Gouzi, there are hundreds of people here. Are you trying to drain me dry?”

“Boss, I didn’t mean that. It’s just that if we keep distributing like this, we’ll run out very quickly.”

“I see you have a lot of brute strength, but you don't know how to use your brain when doing things. Organize a group of people, drive out, and go collect supplies.”

Gouzi nodded and said, “I’ll go tell the brothers to go out and collect supplies right away. But boss, can we have a bit more ammunition!”

“Send a few people. There are some boxes downstairs where I live. Bring them all over.”

Gouzi nodded, and soon those boxes were moved over. The boxes were very heavy, filled with crossbow bolt magazines and tens of thousands of 6mm crossbow bolts.

“Four people per group, each carrying 10 magazines and 300 bolts. That’s 1200 bolts per group. Each group gets a vehicle. Send out three groups today, and fill all the space in the vehicles with supplies, except for where people sit,” Tian Ming said.

Gouzi looked at the magazines and crossbow bolts in the boxes, nodding repeatedly: “I’ll organize it immediately. I guarantee we’ll bring back a large batch of supplies tonight.”

Gouzi excitedly moved these boxes into the warehouse and began to assign tasks.

After Gouzi left, Tian Ming still sat in the square and did not leave.

Lin Yue stood up after compiling the data.

“Boss, there are a total of 531 survivors in the Shelter, with 352 of them under 35 years old. 105 people have received tasks. The thugs Gouzi brought total 53 people. Currently, there are 158 people who can create value.”

“Alright, you’re indeed worthy of having been a secretary. Why didn't you continue being a secretary? I heard you resigned a long time ago. Why?”

“Because the boss was very lecherous and always wanted to mess with his secretary when he had nothing to do.” Lin Yue said, implying a double meaning.

Tian Ming awkwardly opened his mouth, but couldn't help but laugh.

“What are you laughing at?”

“Nothing, nothing. Go tell Wan Yu that you two need to record everyone’s profession. In the next two days, you must compile everyone’s profession and what they are good at. Only after you’ve compiled it can I arrange things properly, allowing everyone to contribute their due value.”

Lin Yue nodded, then left the square. Tian Ming watched her retreating figure, took a deep breath, and slowly exhaled.

He knew the days ahead wouldn't be easy. These survivors were only obedient to him because he had resources.

But he didn't have much time left. The star ring in the sky was blocking a large amount of solar radiation.

This winter would be extremely difficult. If the Shelter's hardware wasn't fully built before winter set in, everyone might be doomed.

At this moment, a young man ran over in a hurry, and seeing Tian Ming, he said breathlessly, “Boss, something happened! A few men took your woman into a room and locked the door from the inside.”

Tian Ming’s face darkened, and he immediately stood up: “Where are they? Lead the way!”

The young man nodded and quickly followed. In a few minutes, they had already arrived.

The door was locked, and Wan Yu’s screams could be heard from inside.

Tian Ming placed his hand on the door, and the door turned into a quantum state. He passed directly through it. Wan Yu was swinging a broken stool. The three men, however, laughed loudly, continuously pressing closer to her.

Tian Ming’s face darkened. The air around him vibrated violently, then instantly solidified. These vibrations turned the air into a hard wall, and the three men were like pathetic bugs embedded in the wall, instantly unable to move.

But Tian Ming and Wan Yu were unaffected; only the three men were affected.

When Wan Yu saw Tian Ming, tears immediately welled up. She hugged Tian Ming tightly, trembling uncontrollably.

Tian Ming held Wan Yu, his expression terribly grim. He looked at the three men, and with a slight thought, a circle of black carbon fiber appeared on each of their hands. These carbon fibers tightly bound the three men together.

Passing through walls, confinement, and the sudden appearance of fiber bands—the three men were scared pale by Tian Ming.

“Boss, we were wrong. We were just momentarily confused,” one of the men said, trembling.

“Wrong. What’s wrong? Where did you go wrong?” Tian Ming asked coldly. Tian Ming’s words made the three men even more afraid.

“Boss, we truly know we were wrong. Please forgive us. We are willing to do anything to make up for our mistakes,” another man said, trembling.

Tian Ming glanced at Wan Yu in his arms: “How should these three be dealt with? You decide!”

Wan Yu looked at Tian Ming. The three men were lying on the ground, entangled by the braided ropes formed from carbon fibers.

“Beautiful Wan Yu, we were really wrong. Give us a chance. We’ll do anything you want. We don’t want to die.”

“Brother Tian Ming, you came just in time. I’m fine. Just give them a chance.” Wan Yu couldn't bear it; she was a kind girl.

Tian Ming waved his hand, and the carbon fibers hidden on their bodies instantly disintegrated and disappeared.

Facing such power to control all things, how could the three men dare to cause trouble? They knelt on the ground, kowtowing repeatedly and thanking Wan Yu.

Tian Ming said coldly. “Her letting you go doesn’t mean I’m letting you go. If you don’t starve or die of thirst after three days, then your lives will truly be saved.”

Killing these three people was not worth it. Disabling these three people would also consume his resources. But punishment must exist; without punishment, these people would not learn their lesson.

“Wan Yu, let’s go!”

Tian Ming took Wan Yu and passed directly through the door. The door became a quantum state, allowing anyone to pass through, but only Tian Ming could make the door enter this state.

Subsequently, the door directly fused with the door frame, welded shut to the wall. Tian Ming’s punishment was not physical pain, but hunger.

The young man outside, seeing Tian Ming pass through the door, had his mouth form an 'O' shape.

Now he understood why Boss Qin, who was so strong, was replaced by him. How could a mere mortal fight against an immortal?
