158: A person with special abilities who specializes in body mutation

Floating on the sea surface was a small submarine, and several people haphazardly carried the zombie over.

The hatch opened, and the zombie, bound like a zongzi, was directly carried inside.

Ten-odd minutes later, those people came ashore, steam rising from their bodies, their clothes instantly dried.

“This is the tenth zombie this month; there are eight more, and the quota will be complete,” the captain muttered to himself, watching the submarine slowly submerge.

Tian Ming, who was perched on top of the container, was just contemplating whether to reveal himself when he heard a bang, and a flash of fire appeared not far away.

A lurking sentry fired a shot directly at Tian Ming’s position.

Tian Ming was startled; he hadn't even detected this sentry.

However, the bullet vanished as soon as it entered Tian Ming’s control range.

The sentry sniper, seeing this, a smile appeared on his lips: “Quick reflexes, huh? Come on, eat this cannonball.”

That guy directly pulled out a sniper grenade launcher and fired a shot at Tian Ming’s position.

Boom!

With a loud explosion, the container a few meters away directly burst apart, and dust flew everywhere.

When the dust settled, Tian Ming slowly stood up from the top of the half-destroyed container.

“Alright.

So fierce, you’ve successfully angered me…” Tian Ming brushed off the snowflakes on his body, and a dozen cannonballs formed around him.

He roughly pinpointed the sniper’s position and waved his hand lightly.

A dozen cannonballs directly smashed toward that position.

“Oh my god, it’s a Superpower User,” the sniper exclaimed, saying “wo cao” as he scrambled away from his sniping position.

Boom, boom, boom…!

A dozen cannonballs directly plowed through the sniper’s position, and the dust raised by the explosions buried the entire sniping spot.

When the dust settled, the sniper, covered in dirt, crawled out from behind his cover, pulled out a few shrapnel pieces embedded in his shoulder blade, and casually tossed them onto the ground.

The wound on the sniper’s shoulder was rapidly healing.

Looking towards Tian Ming’s position, another dozen cannonballs had appeared beside Tian Ming.

“Oh my god, you’re still going?” The sniper quickly stood up and ran towards the captain.

“Retreat! There’s a Superpower User here, retreat now!” the captain shouted loudly.

Everyone quickly climbed onto their snowmobiles, but just as they were about to escape, the second wave of bombardment arrived.

These people were in a panic and directly abandoned their vehicles to flee.

Boom, boom, boom…!

Several people lay on the ground, covered in blood; their physical strength was many times greater than that of ordinary people.

Even with such close-range bombardment, they weren't killed.

“Damn…” The captain’s howl echoed across the snowy ground.

The wounds on these people were rapidly healing, and before they could even recover, carbon fibers extended from the ground and bound them tightly.

A young man in black was already standing before them.

“1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7… a total of 10 people,” Tian Ming counted the heads, his gaze stern as he looked at them.

Regarding this suddenly appearing young man in black, the captain gritted his teeth and said, “Who are you? Why are you attacking us?”

“You guys shot at me first, but I’m very curious, your physical strength is quite high, much higher than a Five-level Ability User.

You took a close-range cannonball hit and weren’t even blown to death.

Very good, you’ve successfully piqued my interest,” Tian Ming said slowly, a playful smile on his face.

The captain’s face darkened, and he struggled twice with all his might, but found he couldn’t exert any strength.

“What do you want?” the captain asked, somewhat alarmed.

Tian Ming didn't answer immediately.

He slowly walked closer and stood in front of the captain: “Tell me your identities.

Just now, I saw you capture a zombie.

Speak, why are you capturing zombies?”

“This has nothing to do with you.

Release us quickly.

Even if you are a Superpower User, you cannot contend with our organization,” the captain said with a cold face.

“Could it be that you are from the official side?”

“No…”

Tian Ming’s thoughts stirred, and the carbon fibers binding the captain instantly tightened a degree.

This thing was like a tightening-spell, and the captain immediately felt his blood flow impeded, and his breathing became difficult.

“What exactly do you want to do?” The captain was out of breath but still gritted his teeth, refusing to give in.

At this moment, the others were all staring at Tian Ming; they were also tightly bound and couldn't move at all.

“If you don’t want to die, then answer my questions properly.

I’ll ask again, who are you? Why are you capturing zombies?” Tian Ming swept his gaze over everyone, his tone becoming even colder.

The captain gritted his teeth and said, word by word: “We are field personnel of the Life Origins branch.

Capturing mutated zombies is our mission.

As for what they are used for when taken back, we have no right to know.”

Tian Ming narrowed his eyes and asked, “Are you also Ability Users?”

A hint of confusion flashed in the captain’s eyes: “We are one-way strengthened Ability Users, only modifying ourselves, and our Ability User classification is different from the official one.”

Tian Ming smiled: “What’s your name?”

“Qin Hai.”

Tian Ming waved his hand slightly, and the carbon fibers binding them disintegrated, instantly restoring their freedom.

Qin Hai moved his somewhat numb wrists, a deep sense of wariness on his face: “You’re not going to kill us?”

“I remember Life Origins, that company seems to be a multinational company, mainly responsible for alien exploration, right?

Why are they engaging in biological research now?” Tian Ming asked.

Qin Hai shook his head and said, “I’m not clear about that.

We field personnel don’t have the authority to know the movements of the higher-ups.”

“Is that so…” Tian Ming stroked his chin, looking thoughtful.

“My Shelter is short on people.

How about your team joins our Shelter?” Tian Ming suggested.

Qin Hai shook his head without hesitation: “No, the General Officer won’t allow it.

Although we also have mutated bodies, if we defect, we will die an unnatural death after a month.”

At this moment, foam continuously emerged from the sea not far away, and a huge black submarine surfaced.

Tian Ming frowned.

The submarine’s top hatch opened, and over a dozen soldiers in exoskeletons emerged from inside.

The weapons they held were not conventional weapons, and the backpacks on their backs emitted a powerful airflow.

This kind of exoskeleton equipment with flight capabilities was even more advanced than what Shen Yi and his sister wore.

After these people appeared, they immediately surrounded Tian Ming.

A person who looked like an officer glanced at Qin Hai and said coldly, “Qin Hai, who is this person?”

Before Qin Hai could answer, Tian Ming stepped forward and said, “Don’t mind who I am, your equipment is quite good.”

The officer frowned and gave a look to the people around him.

These people had a great understanding, and almost simultaneously pulled the triggers on Tian Ming.

Over a dozen arcs of electricity, like streaks of lightning, simultaneously shot towards Tian Ming from different angles.

This basically gave Tian Ming no time to react.

His body was struck by the electric arcs, and he only felt a buzzing sound, his mind instantly going blank.

Tian Ming’s brain had crashed, but his body automatically defended itself.

Almost instantly, a layer of metal shield appeared around him, enveloping Tian Ming within it.
