394: Human-Robot Collaboration

Tian Ming watched everyone's reactions with an expressionless face. The AI's mistake lay in a loophole in its intelligence information, not in its military deployment.

Listening to the dissenting voices, Tian Quan turned to look at Tian Ming, then made a compromise: "I am willing to release command authority and allow humans to participate in outpost defense and counterattacks, but this will accelerate the consumption of vital forces within the Base. I will cooperate with your strategic arrangements and provide support for rescue, logistics, and other tasks."

Tian Quan compromised. At this point, everyone looked at Tian Ming.

"Why are you all looking at me?" Tian Ming felt a bit baffled.

Bai Yan cast a grateful glance, because Tian Quan controlled the entire mechanical Super Legion and millions of combat devices, and also undertook tasks such as situation analysis and various data transmissions. If AI Tian Quan hadn't voluntarily relinquished power, they would have been truly helpless.

They couldn't possibly not use advanced weapons and instead fight the corpse race with stones and wooden clubs, could they? Bai Yan walked towards the command console. A command interface for their respective duties appeared before all Commanders. Tian Quan had finally returned the command authority he had stripped away.

Bai Yan cleared his throat and said, "Given the current situation, our defense needs a major adjustment."

After a pause, Bai Yan continued, "First, according to the original plan, use high-altitude airships to continuously and precisely deliver combat supplies to Point Number One behind enemy lines."

"Second, Tian Quan's frontal battlefield strategy is very stable, but it lacks some boldness. Let the Ability Users Legion cooperate with the Super Legion's mech units. The Ability Users Legion will be responsible for reconnaissance, providing coordinates of areas along the defense line where enemy forces are more concentrated."

"Third, Superpower Users will be stationed within each mechanical Super Legion. Once the Phantom strikes again, it is imperative to capture two live zombies. Since the enemy has units that can evade our detection, there must be a way to crack it. All Second-Class Ability Users and below will be converted to producers to provide raw materials for the Base's factories."

"Understood!"

"Commander Bai Yan, such an arrangement will create many variables and reduce the battlefield win rate," Tian Quan said.

Bai Yan said calmly, "War is inherently full of variables and contingencies. And our opponents' intelligence is also evolving; who knows to what extent they will evolve. Since you have returned command authority to me, then execute orders according to my methods."

"Yes!"

Bai Yan looked at Tian Ming and asked, "Chief Lu, do you have any further instructions?"

Tian Ming waved his hand and said, "No, if I have new intelligence, I will inform you. As for the Base's raw materials, I will help you solve that."

Upon hearing Tian Ming's answer, Bai Yan's attitude towards Tian Ming had changed at this moment. Previously, he had always advocated that the Base should not rely solely on Tian Ming, because no one could check Tian Ming.

But from these events today, Tian Ming's intent was clear: he was balancing the relationship between the AI and humanity. Now, the battle had entered a white-hot phase. AI Tian Quan's compromise allowed humans to regain command of the battlefield, but it also meant that they no longer had to worry about their fate being tied to machines.

A wise race, to put it plainly, is also a stubborn one; they can accept destroying themselves. But if they were defeated due to the AI's failure, then no one in the entire management would be able to accept it.

Tian Ming didn't care what Bai Yan thought of him. Since the AI had returned command authority, there was no need for him to stay in this place. He turned and walked out of the command center.

On the battlefield, the first batch of high-altitude airships descended with supplies.

When the first batch of high-altitude airships arrived over the battlefield Point Number One, the Special Operations Group members below instantly erupted in excitement. They looked up at the giant airships in the sky, their eyes gleaming with excitement and anticipation. These airships, appearing and disappearing in the clouds, were like a flock of colossal birds blotting out the sun.

However, the airships did not immediately descend. Instead, an extremely thick plasma ray suddenly appeared on the wide ground, pointing directly at the sky. This ray was like a flame from hell, sending chills down one's spine.

These were emitted by the ray zombies on the ground, followed by the second, then the third...

The zombies' anti-air method was simple and crude, but the underside of the airships had a thick layer of reflective plates. These reflective plates reflected the rays directly back. The energy of the rays was already insufficient at ten thousand meters high, and after another reflection, their power was directly reduced by ninety percent.

Just then, the drones carried by the airships quickly locked onto their targets. These drones rapidly detached from the airships and flew directly towards the area from which the rays were emitted. These suicide drones carried Nitrogen Bombs, with astonishing power.

As the drones approached, dense explosions began to sound on the ground. The Nitrogen Bombs detonated instantly upon contact with the ray zombies, generating a powerful shockwave.

This shockwave instantly evacuated the surrounding air, creating a vacuum zone. Immediately after, flames and debris splattered out, engulfing everything around them.

The cargo bay doors at the bottom of the airships slowly opened, revealing the fully loaded combat supplies inside, including food, ammunition, weapons, medical supplies, and more.

Supplies began to pour out of the cargo bay doors. In an instant, countless parachutes bloomed in the sky, and various boxes, packages, and bags floated down.

Qiu Qian, accompanied by Zhu Qing and Gao Shengqiang, had already taken their positions at Point Number One. This Point Number One was located at a transportation hub, and although it was backed by a small city, it faced immense pressure.

A large number of fleeing personnel gathered in this place, which also meant it would attract a large number of zombies.

"Arrange personnel to collect supplies and build defenses. Our Point Number One is very important; we may face the predicament of being attacked from both front and rear."

Gao Shengqiang said, "We're all bringing rookies, and their coordination is too poor. This will probably be a tough fight."

"Tough or not, we have to fight, otherwise there's only death," Qiu Qian said.

Just as everyone was busy collecting supplies and building defenses, a deafening roar suddenly came from the distance.

After the high-power communication hub was set up, all communication devices in this area automatically connected to it. This relay device could break through the magnetic storm zombies' blockade and expand the communication range to over ten kilometers.

A woman's voice came through the headsets of all personnel at Point Number One.

"Let me introduce myself. I am Qiu Qian, the leader of the East Sea City Base's Special Operations Group. Time is urgent, so I'll keep it brief. All personnel who receive this broadcast, listen carefully. This area of ours is Point Number One, assigned by the Alliance. It guards a vital transportation route and will face a large-scale zombie siege. And my mission is to lead the personnel behind enemy lines to hold this position, providing indirect support for the Base's front lines to annex the Linshan Defense Line."
