271: Zombie Puppet
After absorbing the Red Crystal Core, Tian Ming glanced at the zombies rushing towards him.
Tian Ming calmly placed the Nitrogen Bomb down, and his figure vanished from his original spot. The moment the bomb dropped, the surrounding air seemed to solidify, accompanied by a heart-palpitating silence.
Suddenly, the bomb exploded violently, like a brilliant star instantly lighting up. A furious energy was released outwards, forming a colorless, transparent, massive shockwave. This shockwave spread in all directions at an astonishing speed, instantly engulfing everything around it.
The surrounding buildings were like paper in front of the shockwave, easily destroyed and reduced to ruins. The zombies in the streets and alleys appeared so tiny before this power; they were instantly torn apart by the shockwave, unable to even let out a wail.
The entire area seemed to have experienced a major earthquake; the ground trembled violently, and countless cracks spread across it. Even the distant mountains were shaken by the force of the shockwave, echoing with deafening roars.
Tian Ming stood in the distance, quietly watching it all. There was no emotional fluctuation in his eyes.
That Corpse King said that the ruler of this city was a Corpse King named Gang Dan, and she had also raised over six hundred people. Since this Corpse King could become the ruler of this city, she should at least be able to produce Red Crystal Cores, right?
A hint of a smile appeared at the corner of Tian Ming's mouth. He closed his eyes and began to concentrate, sensing the location of the air-raid shelter.
A moment later, Tian Ming slowly opened his eyes. He had already found the location of the underground air-raid shelter.
His figure flickered, like a ghost, weaving through the ruins. Fragments of buildings and zombie remains swept past him, but he remained unharmed.
Below the building in the city square was the entrance to the air-raid shelter. There were many zombies on the periphery, patrolling in groups of two or three.
Tian Ming sensed that, in addition to the visible patrolling zombies, there were also several large entities lurking in the surrounding buildings.
He descended directly, preparing to force his way in, and he had the strength to do so.
A moment later, Tian Ming had arrived near the building in the city square. He did not conceal his figure but walked directly towards the entrance of the air-raid shelter. The zombie patrols, in groups of two or three, were wandering in the square, and they immediately detected Tian Ming's presence.
Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh!
Several nano-blades flew through, directly piercing the bodies of those zombies.
Thud, thud, thud!
A series of dull thuds sounded as the surrounding zombies were cut into several pieces. In an instant, dozens of zombies fell to the ground, their bodies shattered and gruesome.
The surrounding zombies were caught off guard by this sudden attack and lunged towards Tian Ming. But not a single zombie could get within thirty meters of Tian Ming.
Nano-blades shot out again, like the scythe of death, harvesting the lives of the zombies. Each blade's pass took a zombie's life, mercilessly.
The number of zombies was vast, but under Tian Ming's efficient slaughter, the zombies in the square continuously fell. Tian Ming was like a killing machine: calm, cruel, and precise.
The surrounding buildings were constantly impacted by the aftershocks of the battle between Tian Ming and the zombies, with bricks and stones flying and dust rising everywhere.
Before long, the zombies in the square had been completely cleared. The corpses on the ground piled up like mountains, and soon, intense vibrations came from the surrounding buildings.
Six colossal steel giants emerged from the buildings. They emitted a strong light, as if their steel bodies were glowing. Their eyes gleamed red, fierce like beasts.
The six steel giants were a full seven meters tall and weighed hundreds of tons. Each step they took made the ground tremble and dust billow. They looked like humanoid mechs, but in essence, they were zombies.
These zombies had completely become puppets of a high-level Corpse King, entirely abandoning brain evolution. They completely discarded eating humans, frantically ingesting metal elements, making them a very pure type of combat monster.
However, giant steel beasts with immense size, strength, and super high defense all had one thing in common: their movements were not very agile.
Moreover, trying to find an advantage against Tian Ming purely based on size and defense was undoubtedly a pipe dream.
"Roar!" One of the steel puppets let out an earth-shattering roar, and its massive steel fist smashed towards Tian Ming. Where the punch wind passed, the air was compressed, making squeaking sounds.
The body of this steel puppet was extremely strong. With its heavy force, it smashed a huge deep pit into the ground. As the dust cleared, Tian Ming appeared above the puppet.
Under the absolute suppression of his strength, he disdained playing with techniques, directly using confinement and compression, then vibrating particles to generate tens of thousands of degrees of high temperature.
It took a full minute or two for this massive puppet's body to completely melt at tens of thousands of degrees. If the puppet's body were directly heated, it wouldn't take so long, but relying on air for heat conduction made the effect much worse.
The other puppets frantically attacked Tian Ming, but they could never break through the air shield Tian Ming had formed.
The steel puppet was melted into a puddle of molten iron by Tian Ming, and the remaining puppets were dealt with in the same manner.
In about ten minutes, these seemingly formidable steel monsters were all dealt with by Tian Ming.
"Human Ability User, why must you cross me, Gang Dan?" A charming girlish voice sounded.
Tian Ming looked in the direction of the voice and saw a young girl in a black tight-fitting suit walking over.
She was petite but not cute. Her hair was blood-red, falling over her shoulders, her eyes were completely black with no whites, and her face was oval-shaped but pale and bloodless.
Tian Ming landed on the ground, looking at this contrasting Corpse King, and said in a cold, hard tone, "You are Gang Dan? Do you think this name suits you?"
The girl chuckled, her laughter filled with chilling malice: "Whether it suits me or not isn't important. What's important is whether I like it."
Tian Ming's figure vanished from his spot. The next moment, he appeared beside the female zombie king. His right hand transformed directly into a blade, and he swung it, aiming for Gang Dan's head.
With a squelch, Gang Dan was decapitated. Her head fell to the ground but did not die. Instead, she stared fixedly at Tian Ming, a hint of amusement in her eyes.
"Such a powerful Ability User. I want to bear your children. Our offspring will definitely be much stronger than those six useless ones," Gang Dan's head, lying on the ground, beamed with excitement.
Tian Ming felt his scalp tingle and angrily retorted, "Your grandma!" As immense pressure assailed her, Gang Dan's body was directly flattened.
But her body shattered like broken glass, turning into specks of dust. Although successfully killed, there was no Red Crystal Core.
"Oh, don't be so fierce!" Gang Dan's voice came from inside the building. A petite girl walked out from another building.
