237: Lawrence Family Base
Tian Ming’s words left both Charlie and Lisa in silence. If they failed to complete the task as Tian Ming requested within ten days, the consequences would be unimaginable.
Charlie took a deep breath, trying to calm his inner turmoil. He spoke, “My Lord, I understand. I will do my best to control the Lawrence Family’s armed forces within ten days.”
Tian Ming looked coldly at Charlie, then nodded after a moment, “Very good. Lisa and I will go to your family base first. I await your news.”
With that, Tian Ming stood up and walked towards the door, while Lisa and Charlie hurriedly followed him.
“My Lord, should I send someone to accompany you?” Charlie suggested.
Tian Ming shook his head and said, “Just do your job. That’s it. This is your only chance, understand?”
Charlie could only nod heavily. He understood now that this time, the family would have to pay a huge price to secure its survival and continuation.
Tian Ming and Lisa left the Eastern Europe base and boarded an automated aircraft. After a manager entered the coordinates, the aircraft slowly ascended.
In the luxurious cabin of the aircraft, Tian Ming and Lisa sat opposite each other, surrounded by the aura of future technology, yet a suffocating atmosphere permeated the space.
Lisa secretly glanced at Tian Ming, seeing him with his eyes closed, his expression blank. Tian Ming’s coldness and decisiveness made Lisa feel a touch of despair.
There were only the two of them in the entire cabin. The aircraft was very stable. Lisa stood up, a slight blush on her face, and took off her coat, revealing her fair arms.
The atmosphere in the cabin became somewhat subtle. Tian Ming, who had been resting with his eyes closed, slowly opened them.
What met his eyes was an alluring body. Lisa’s face was faintly flushed, and her eyes revealed a sense of determination, yet deep down, there was a hint of expectation.
However, Tian Ming’s gaze showed no desire. He just quietly watched Lisa, making her feel uneasy.
Seeing no reaction from Tian Ming, Lisa bit her lower lip and bravely asked, “Am I not beautiful?”
However, Tian Ming just looked at her coldly, without any emotional fluctuations in his eyes. He said indifferently, “Beautiful. In terms of physical condition, you are the best I have ever seen.”
“Then why can you say such words so calmly?” Lisa retorted angrily.
With a thought from Tian Ming, Lisa’s graceful body was covered by a set of clothes. Lisa’s face turned pale; she hadn’t expected Tian Ming to reject her so coldly.
She felt an indescribable humiliation and sadness. Her body trembled slightly, but she still stood there, facing Tian Ming’s gaze.
Tian Ming glanced at her and continued, “Stop bothering. I know what you’re thinking. A honey trap only works on those perverts. Get some rest. When we reach your family base, you’ll be busy.” With that, he closed his eyes again, as if none of this concerned him.
At this moment, the aircraft cabin fell silent once more. Lisa sat in her seat, silently looking out the window, while Tian Ming continued to rest with his eyes closed. The distance between them seemed to grow, and the atmosphere between them became even more oppressive and heavy.
The aircraft passed through the clouds and arrived at the Lawrence Family’s base. The ground was a vast complex of buildings, surrounded by tall alloy walls and various technological devices. The base had its own ecological circulation system, weapon and equipment production workshops, as well as training grounds and residential areas.
The aircraft descended and landed steadily on the helipad. The family base’s security personnel immediately came forward, nervously watching the unfamiliar aircraft.
As expected of the Lawrence Family base’s defense, every security team member wore semi-enclosed exoskeleton equipment. They carried high-density energy storage batteries on their backs, and the weapons they held were unlike anything Tian Ming had ever seen.
The base security quickly identified Lisa’s identity. In that instant, the firing direction of all weapons pointed at Tian Ming.
Tian Ming frowned. The surrounding matter suspended, and countless tungsten steel beads formed, hovering around Tian Ming, creating a protective barrier.
He looked coldly at the security personnel, not saying a word. The atmosphere instantly became tense, as if a single spark could ignite a major battle.
Seeing this, Lisa, fearing that Tian Ming would start a massacre, quickly stepped forward to explain, “Don’t shoot! Go quickly and inform my father that Lu Tianming has arrived.” She raised her hand, signaling the security personnel to lower their weapons.
“Miss Lisa, the Duke instructed before he left that no one is allowed to enter the base before he returns. That includes you, Miss Lisa,” the guard captain said sternly, and the guards behind him also raised their weapons, entering combat readiness.
However, just then, a tungsten steel bead suddenly flew out, piercing the guard captain’s head with lightning speed. Blood splattered, and the guard captain’s body instantly collapsed.
The other security personnel were so frightened by this scene that they quickly retreated. At this moment, the tungsten steel beads surrounding Tian Ming suddenly accelerated, rushing towards the security personnel at several times the speed of sound. The steel beads fell like a deadly rain, instantly striking down all the guards.
The scene descended into chaos and terror. The screams and thuds of the falling guards were incessant, and the ground was covered in blood and broken bodies. The surviving guards stared at the scene, dumbfounded, completely at a loss.
“You, why did you kill again?”
Tian Ming’s expression was cold. He glanced at the fallen guards and said indifferently, “Too much chatter, annoying!”
With that, he turned to Lisa, “Now, lead the way.”
Lisa dared not hesitate any longer, nodded, and turned to walk deeper into the base. Tian Ming followed behind her, his steps steady. The surviving guards could only watch them leave, their fear indescribable.
Under Lisa’s guidance, Tian Ming entered the interior of the Lawrence Family base. The corridor lights were dim, and the atmosphere was oppressive.
“Don’t kill anyone else, I beg you,” Lisa said.
Tian Ming paid no heed. Around him, countless tungsten steel beads still hovered. As soon as armed personnel approached, those steel beads would act like triggered bullets, instantly blowing off the heads of the incoming individuals. Tian Ming naturally wouldn't go back on his word; if Shen Yuan was not found within ten days, the Lawrence Family base would become a living hell.
The base’s alarm sounded, but Tian Ming and Lisa’s steps did not stop. They passed through several areas of the base, finally arriving at the Lawrence Family’s family council hall. This was a structure located deep underground, surrounded by powerful defensive facilities, showcasing the Lawrence Family’s power and status.
