66: Go to the research institute to get the blueprints

Tian Ming piloted the aerial vehicle, flying towards the city.

The vehicle weaved through the air, stirring up gusts of wind.

Controlling the six nozzles was much simpler for Tian Ming than controlling his own levitation.

Actually, if Tian Ming wanted to fly, it would be simpler to attach a few tubes to his body to adjust the jet stream than to control his levitation with air pressure.

But having so many tubes on his body would look too ugly and wasn't cool at all.

This vehicle was also something Tian Ming had made on a whim; after tinkering with it, he found that controlling it wasn't difficult, so he started thinking about going to the city to get something.

What he had been longing for were the blueprints for the vertical take-off and landing aircraft from the Flying Research Institute.

Shen Yuan, sitting in the co-pilot's seat, couldn't help but ask, "Boss, where are we going?"

"The Flying Research Institute, the place where you used to work."

The Flying Research Institute wasn't far from them, and Tian Ming flew very fast; in about five minutes, the aerial vehicle arrived above the Flying Research Institute.

Tian Ming lowered his altitude and landed directly on the roof of the Flying Research Institute.

The rooftop was covered in snow, over a person's height.

But this was no challenge for Tian Ming at all.

Tian Ming merely waved his hand, and it was as if an invisible giant hand appeared in front of him, sweeping the more than one-meter-thick snow directly downstairs.

Downstairs, the frozen zombies were directly buried by the falling snow.

Shen Yuan sighed inwardly, marveling that her boss had already used his abilities in various ingenious ways.

That invisible hand was formed by manipulating the air.

"Boss, how do I feel like you're already invincible?" Shen Yuan asked.

Tian Ming, however, shook his head, "Invincible is still impossible; after all, if I were to fly myself, I'd lose control of my posture while flying and spin in circles in the air.

But, I've figured out how to control the position of objects in space these past few days."

"Like what?" Shen Yuan asked with great curiosity.

"Like this," Tian Ming extended his hand, and a snowball directly formed, continuously compressing.

Bang!

A sonic boom exploded, and the compressed snowball flew out like a cannonball, traveling several kilometers away.

Shen Yuan's eyes widened, and she exclaimed, "Holy cow, a human-shaped cannon?"

Tian Ming sighed and said, "I only controlled a radius of a little over 8.5 meters, not quite 9 meters.

So, at most, I can only accelerate matter to twice the speed of sound.

If I could control a radius of 1 kilometer and replace the snowball with a steel ball, then I would truly be invincible.

Any zombie in front of me would be pulverized."

"Alright, I, Shen Yuan, am truly envious of you!"

Tian Ming smiled indifferently and said, "Let's go, it's your turn to be useful."

As Tian Ming spoke, he wrapped an arm around Shen Yuan's waist, and before she could react, he directly took her and jumped off the building.

"Ah!"

Shen Yuan shrieked and quickly grabbed Tian Ming's collar.

The air below formed a buffer, slowing their descent, and the two floated gently to the ground floor.

"What are you doing? You scared me to death," Shen Yuan complained, still shaken.

"Don't worry, you won't fall to your death.

You're familiar with this place, lead the way.

The server room, the archives, look for the blueprints for vertical transport aircraft," Tian Ming said.

"Vertical aircraft?" Shen Yuan asked with some confusion.

"Yes, if it keeps snowing, how will the Shelter's supplies be managed?

If we get some aircraft, wouldn't it be faster for us to fly around and gather supplies?" Tian Ming retorted.

Shen Yuan pouted and said, "You, you just don't want us to be idle, do you?

Come with me, I'll take you there!"

The archives were on the second floor of the archive building, east of the research institute.

Tian Ming cleared away the thick snow while looking at the frozen zombies.

Although these zombies were frozen solid, Tian Ming couldn't directly decompose them.

There was only one possibility for this situation: these zombies were all 'online'.

After they thawed next year, they would probably be jumping around again.

Entering the dim, damp archive building, the scene became eerie and terrifying.

Pale-faced, emaciated zombies shuffled aimlessly, occasionally letting out spine-chilling roars.

Shen Yuan's scalp tingled, and she quickly hid behind Tian Ming.

Her little heart pounded, and her face was filled with nervousness.

"What are you afraid of?" Tian Ming asked, somewhat puzzled.

"Nonsense, if I were as invincible as you, I wouldn't be afraid."

Tian Ming smiled and shook his head, raising his hand slightly, and countless tiny nanoblades formed.

The zombies throughout the hall froze almost simultaneously, and moments later, they collapsed like shattered building blocks.

With a single move, all the zombies were dealt with effortlessly.

Tian Ming had actually possessed these abilities from the beginning, but it took him a long time to figure out how to use and control them.

The door lock was directly melted by Tian Ming, and the two entered the archive room.

A decaying smell permeated the entire archive room.

Besides rows of archive cabinets, the innermost area was the server room where data was stored.

Although Shen Yi had taken some data with him initially, it was all the latest research data and results, not mature manufacturing technology.

What they were looking for here this time were more mature vertical take-off and landing aircraft, such as helicopters.

Shen Yuan looked at the several massive server racks, frowned, and said, "The computers for retrieval are out of power.

There's a small room in the server room with an emergency power supply that can power the storage servers in the racks for ten hours.

Can you help me charge the power supply?"

Tian Ming nodded; he was good at charging things.

He walked to the emergency power room in the back, touched the battery, and a minute later, the battery was fully charged and revived, and the servers in the racks also started up.

Shen Yuan pulled up a chair and sat by the computer next to the server.

Such large servers took an incredibly long time to start up.

A single server took ten minutes to restart, but these types of servers were all in a local and cloud dual-backup format.

Shen Yuan stared blankly at the computer screen.

"Is it ready yet?" Tian Ming urged.

Shen Yuan couldn't help but roll her eyes at Tian Ming and said, "Do you think this is like your home computer booting up, that it's that fast?

There are eight servers here; it'll take at least an hour and a half for them to start up and complete self-checks."

"So slow, why didn't you say so earlier?" Tian Ming felt he had been too hasty; he thought copying data would be a matter of minutes, but he didn't expect it would take over an hour just to boot up.

Shen Yuan was a bit speechless; why did her boss think everything was so simple?

"You're blaming me?

In the car, you told me not to talk to you."

Tian Ming waved his hand, "Alright, alright, no rush, I'll go through the archive cabinets."

Since it would take so long, Tian Ming didn't plan to sit idle; he wanted to see if he could find anything useful in the archive cabinets.

"Boss, what's in the archive cabinets are just some blueprints and simplified plans; the detailed blueprints are all in the servers.

Don't bother, just wait patiently!"

"Alright then, I'll go out for a walk, you stay here and watch," Tian Ming said with a smile.

Shen Yuan quickly stood up and grabbed Tian Ming, "No, don't go.

What if a zombie comes if you leave me alone here?"

"Then I'll weld the door shut, and there won't be any zombies, right?"

"That won't work either, I'm timid and scared."
