337: Infiltrate, disguise

Tian Ming frowned, understanding what Commander meant. If he infiltrated rashly, it was highly likely to trigger the Sea Bottom Base's alarm system. He needed a perfect plan to successfully infiltrate the Base without being discovered by anyone.

Commander began analyzing various data from the Base, including the layout of the security system, the sensitivity of detectors, the threshold of energy detectors, and so on. He used his powerful computing capabilities to simulate and deduce, trying to find the most suitable infiltration plan.

This process lasted for a full thirty minutes, with Commander continuously optimizing and adjusting the plan until he believed he had found a near-perfect solution.

“Master, I have simulated an infiltration plan, but the failure rate is relatively high. The success rate is around ninety-five percent, while the failure rate reaches five percent.”

Tian Ming was momentarily speechless and said, “Can a five percent failure rate be considered high? Commander, do you have some misunderstanding about failure rates?”

Commander replied, “Master, the detection equipment density in the Base’s material storage compartment is the lowest. There are some crustacean creatures attached to the pressure-resistant outer shell of the Base. My plan is for One to create a small accident, making a crack in the pressure-resistant shell, which will trigger a maintenance alarm. At this point, the entire waterproof area will enter a power-off maintenance state.”

“So I can infiltrate without being detected?” Tian Ming asked.

“Not yet, Master. During power-off maintenance, drainage, and self-inspection, there are 15 minutes to restore security. In the power-off maintenance state, most security systems and detectors will be temporarily shut down or have their sensitivity reduced. You need to complete three things within this time,” Commander said.

Tian Ming nodded and asked, “Which three things?”

Tian Ming understood that the essence of this plan was to utilize the Base’s maintenance state to circumvent the security system. Although a five percent failure rate didn't sound too high, in such a high-risk operation, any small accident could lead to the failure of the entire plan.

“First, based on Master’s virtualization ability and movement speed, you need to enter the material compartment from 300 kilometers away within one minute. Second, you need to command One to use part of his Nanometer Avatar to replace the energy detectors in that area. Third, you need to provide me with a relay, and I will crack the local hardware of the detectors and connect to the Base’s security system after self-inspection.”

Tian Ming slightly frowned and asked, “Commander, are you confident you can crack it?”

“According to the current computing power of the intelligent brain hardware, the cracking time can be controlled within 5 minutes. If the cracking fails, you must leave the Base at least three hundred kilometers away within the one-minute countdown before security restarts.”

“If the cracking fails, then the whole plan fails, right?” Tian Ming asked.

“Yes, Master. But in that case, it will not affect Shen Yuan’s safety.”

“Okay, I understand. Then let’s proceed with your plan,” Tian Ming said decisively.

Tian Ming took a deep breath, knowing that every second from now on was crucial. He quickly adjusted his state; his nerves were highly tense at this moment.

Tian Ming said decisively, “I’m ready. We can begin.”

“Okay, Master, I will command both you and One simultaneously. Please arrive precisely at the time points I give you.”

“Understood. Let’s start!”

At this moment, One, in its particle state, began creating a crack in the pressure-resistant outer shell of the Sea Bottom Base. The Sea Bottom Base had triple redundancy, similar to a submarine’s layout.

If the outer layer cracked and leaked, there was still an inner barrier, and even if the inner layer had issues, there were watertight compartments for isolation. The water surging into this crack would put pressure on the inner layer, thereby triggering a maintenance alarm.

Tian Ming quietly waited for Commander’s instructions. Although his nerves were taut, Tian Ming’s expression was exceptionally calm, without the slightest panic.

One’s perspective was shared, and the crack on the pressure-resistant outer shell of the Sea Bottom Base widened. Despite such immense pressure, and with a crack forming, this shell surprisingly did not deform. As seawater surged in, a pressure difference formed in the inter-layer, successfully triggering the maintenance alarm.

“Master, countdown three seconds. Please prepare.”

Tian Ming nodded. The critical moment was approaching.

Three!

Two!

One!

Tian Ming’s figure vanished from his original spot. High-speed movement combined with his virtualization ability allowed Tian Ming to pass through the Base’s outer perimeter unimpeded and enter the material compartment, reaching the designated position.

The next step was to command One to replace the sensors in the surrounding area.

Tian Ming took a deep breath and adjusted himself, entering a state of high concentration and calmness. He knew this process required extremely high precision in object control, with no room for error. Even a slight mistake would result in the Base’s defense detecting his presence within milliseconds.

He quickly established a connection with One and began precisely directing its actions. One also began to move swiftly, using its Nanometer Avatar ability to replace the surrounding sensors one by one. Soon, all the surrounding sensors had become Tian Ming’s avatars.

But this was still not enough; he had to trick the security system after it restored. The entire process only took four minutes. For the remaining nine minutes, Tian Ming sat in the deepest part of the material compartment, not daring to move at all. He needed to act as a relay point, providing Commander with a transmission channel to crack the local hardware.

“Commander, the rest is up to you,” Tian Ming said.

“Master, please try to empty your mind as much as possible, so I can obtain the maximum data transfer volume.”

“Understood!”

Tian Ming followed Commander’s prompt, emptying his mind so that Commander could obtain the maximum data transfer volume. This kind of emptying was difficult to achieve; Tian Ming wished he could knock himself out. Because in a conscious state, it was simply too difficult to completely stop thinking.

He could only take a deep breath, and at this moment, Commander also condensed a bright spot before his eyes. Commander had Tian Ming stare blankly at the bright spot, as a blank state was relatively close to emptying one’s mind. Soon, his heartbeat gradually slowed, and his breathing became deep and even.

At the same time, Commander also began its intense work. It used the transmission channel provided by Tian Ming to rapidly crack the local hardware of the Base’s security system.

After an unknown amount of time, Tian Ming felt the bright spot before his eyes suddenly disappear, and Commander’s voice entered his mind.

“Master, I have successfully cracked the hardware and modified its parameters. Now, I need to infiltrate the opponent’s security system to obtain all information for cracking.”

Tian Ming breathed a sigh of relief. He had now taken the first successful step. The rest was to find Shen Yuan’s location.

“How long will it take you to crack the system?”

“It will take approximately over five hundred hours. The central computer of this system is a quantum computer, used to generate quantum keys. My computing power cannot crack these keys.”

Tian Ming’s mind went blank: “What do you mean? One moment you say you can crack it, and the next you say you can’t?”
