183: Met an acquaintance

Since that mysterious woman wanted to go against him, her reliance was on those zombies.

What Tian Ming had to deal with were these zombies.

He changed into a different outfit, disguised himself as an ordinary survivor, carrying a large backpack, and holding a gun, he began to wander through the streets.

Zombies without intelligence were actually not scary; their flesh and blood were nothing but dregs in front of hot weapons.

Even mutated zombies, with their bodies of metal, were completely defenseless against high explosives.

The main reason humanity had fallen to such a state was due to the drastic decline in numbers and the lack of organized armed forces, making it difficult to mount any decent counterattacks.

Now, because zombies had gained intelligence, the future of this planet would be a struggle between two intelligent species.

Humans had stronger technological power but weaker physiques and fewer numbers.

Overall, one was on the rise, and the other was in decline, indeed as that mysterious woman had said, the laws of nature were hard to resist.

Walking slowly on the street, Tian Ming did not use his abilities.

He entered the residential area alone.

This was a residential building, very tall, with thirty-three floors.

There should be survivors here.

Because he saw a pair of smelly socks hanging next to a windowsill downstairs.

There was also a thin blanket on the balcony clothesline.

This thin blanket was used to catch snow, likely for collecting snowmelt.

Tian Ming turned and entered the building.

He climbed up the stairs, floor by floor.

The stairwell was full of clutter: chairs, stools, old refrigerators, and all sorts of other messy things that completely filled the entire stairwell.

Perhaps the survivors had piled these things up to prevent zombies from coming upstairs.

But these things were useless to Tian Ming.

With a wave of his hand, the debris blocking the stairwell was decomposed.

The stairwell below was blocked, but from the fifth floor upwards, the stairwell was much more open.

He stopped on the twenty-third floor because there were fresh footprints in the dust on the ground.

And it wasn't just one person's footprints.

The residents on the twenty-third floor seemed to have heard footsteps; click, the small window on the door frame was opened, and a dark shotgun barrel was poked out.

Bang!

The man hiding inside fired without hesitation.

Steel shot mixed with countless pellets sprayed towards Tian Ming, and Tian Ming's body almost instantly activated its defense, the pellets seemed to hit an invisible wall.

The person hiding in the room didn't even ask, just fired directly; if it were an ordinary person, they would have been blown into a beehive by that shot.

Tian Ming raised a hand, and the door was directly ripped open, the entire door was torn down by Tian Ming.

The man held the gun, looking utterly bewildered.

“Are you out of your mind? You just shoot without even looking?” Tian Ming said coldly to the man.

The man saw his door ripped off and immediately raged, “Damn it, you dare to rip off my door?”

He raised the shotgun and pressed it directly against Tian Ming’s head.

Before the man could fire, the entire gun turned into parts and fell to the ground.

A hint of terror appeared on the man’s face, and he knelt down with a thud, saying, “Big brother, big brother, spare my life, I didn’t know you were an immortal.”

“I’m no immortal; if I wanted to kill you, you’d be dead already.

What’s your name? Are there other people in this building?”

“My name is Zhang Yi, there’s no one else in this building, everyone’s dead, oh, right, I have three women in my room, Big Brother, do you want to have some fun?” Zhang Yi said to Tian Ming with a grin.

Tian Ming frowned, and said coldly, “Everyone in this building is dead, and only you and three women are alive?

Where did you get so much food?”

“I’m a supermarket owner, you see, I was prepared; I stocked up on enough supplies before Gaia exploded in the sky, and I also renovated my house.

Plus, I broke through to the empty house next door, and there’s a lot of food stored inside.

Big Brother, are you hungry? Do you want something to eat?” Zhang Yi still asked with a smile.

The way this guy looked at Tian Ming was fawning with a hint of coldness.

He was very cowardly, but he was secretly plotting something.

“The people in this building didn’t all turn into zombies, did they?

Did you kill those survivors?” Tian Ming asked Zhang Yi slowly.

Zhang Yi’s eyes darted away, but he didn’t deny it: “Yes, ever since it started snowing, they blocked the stairwell, and they wanted to share my food, so I killed them all.”

Tian Ming waved his hand, and the door automatically went back into place.

He had no good feelings for Zhang Yi, so he would just let him fend for himself.

“I’ve restored your door for you; I’m leaving.

Your house isn’t safe; zombies can eat anything.

Fend for yourself.” With that, Tian Ming turned to leave.

“Big Brother, please save me then.

I’ll follow you from now on; I can do anything.

My three women are very beautiful; I’ll give them all to you, all to you.” Saying this, he hugged Tian Ming’s leg.

Zhang Yi understood clearly; this guy had abilities, so following him would definitely not be a loss.

He was tired of the three women he had locked in his house, and losing them was no pity at all.

“Let go, don’t disgust me.” Tian Ming looked at Zhang Yi with disgust, and Zhang Yi’s entire body was fixed in place.

He couldn’t move at all.

At this moment, a woman’s cry came from Zhang Yi’s room.

“Who’s outside, can someone save me?”

Tian Ming’s eyes narrowed.

These were Zhang Yi’s women, but listening to the voice, it felt especially familiar.

Could he know her?

Tian Ming waved his hand, and Zhang Yi was immediately unbound.

“They’re really beautiful, if you don’t believe me, go in and see.” Zhang Yi still wouldn’t give up.

Tian Ming walked into the room with a cold face.

He entered the room and saw three women, their feet chained, and on the chains, a large dumbbell used for fitness, weighing a full 35 kilograms.

They were like dogs, confined in this room, becoming Zhang Yi’s playthings.

“Lu Tianming!” one of the girls cried out, looking at Tian Ming with shock.

This girl was Chen Yue, the daughter of a restaurant owner, the same age as Tian Ming but a few months older.

Tian Ming had worked at her family’s restaurant for a period before.

During that time, this girl took great care of him; whenever Chen Yue secretly ate something delicious from the kitchen, she would always bring a portion to Tian Ming.

But later, the restaurant owner found his daughter getting too close to a waiter, so he found an excuse to fire Tian Ming.

That was three years ago, and he didn’t expect Chen Yue to still recognize him, and even call out his name directly.

“You are… Sister Yue?” Tian Ming was also quite shocked, not expecting to meet an acquaintance in such a situation.

Zhang Yi saw that the situation was bad, and his heart immediately turned cold.

He turned to run, but a bundle of carbon fiber quickly appeared on the ground, directly binding Zhang Yi in place, unable to move.
