50: Don't refuse something that comes to your door.

The Patrol Security Group had always been arranged by Gouzi to conduct night patrols, primarily to deal with unexpected situations at night.

As time passed, the mutation situation in the Shelter had almost ceased. Thus, the focus of the patrol group also shifted to the edge of the wall.

"It's me!" Tian Ming replied.

The patrol member quickly and respectfully said, "So it's the Boss. I'm sorry, I didn't see clearly at first."

"You all continue your patrol," Tian Ming said.

"Yes!"

Shen Yuan reached out and grabbed Tian Ming's sleeve, saying, "Boss, there's something I've been thinking about, and I still need to tell you."

"What is it?" Tian Ming asked.

Shen Yuan hesitated a bit but then took a deep breath and said, "Our Shelter might have been targeted by certain individuals!"

Tian Ming was startled and asked, "What do you mean by 'targeted by certain individuals'?"

"Three-point positioning, do you know about it? I received the same signal three times and responded to it. This signal had no specific content, so I guess it should be a positioning signal," Shen Yuan said.

Tian Ming didn't understand any of this, so he smiled and said, "It's alright. The Shelter construction needs a large population. If people really come to seek refuge, that would be even better."

Shen Yuan sighed. This kind of thing was hard to say. People with such equipment would naturally not be ordinary survivors.

He was afraid it might be some large family forces. In this world, the evacuation capabilities of those large families were several times higher than those of ordinary people.

After escorting Shen Yuan to her door and watching her enter the room, Tian Ming had just turned to leave when Shen Yuan's voice came from behind him.

"Boss, thank you for accompanying me to hand-build the satellite. Actually, you are smarter than I imagined; you learn many things with just one try."

Tian Ming smiled and said, "Alright, stop flattering me. Get some rest early."

"Mmm, good night!"

Tian Ming nodded. Coming down from the Talent Building, the snow was falling even heavier. The cold wind blew, making him less sleepy. He checked the watch on his wrist; it was already past three in the morning.

After just two steps, two gunshots rang out from the west side of the Shelter.

Tian Ming looked towards the west, only to see a vast expanse of white light there, and faintly, he could hear the roar of car engines.

Tian Ming's heart tightened. It seemed there was a situation in the west, and it was aimed at the Shelter.

"Boss, are you asleep? There's a situation!" Gouzi's voice came through the walkie-talkie.

Click! The alert post at the Shelter's entrance turned on the searchlights, and a long alarm sounded. Personnel from the Materials Group and Patrol Security quickly scrambled out of their beds, and a large group of people converged towards the Shelter's main gate.

Tian Ming picked up the walkie-talkie, switched to all channels, and said, "Everyone, don't panic. Wait for me to come over."

Tian Ming stuffed the walkie-talkie into his pocket and ran towards the west.

Outside the Shelter's gate, vehicles stretched in a line, reaching directly to the outer edge of the highway. Under the illumination of the searchlights, several men in black leather jackets, with fierce expressions, held their weapons, their dark muzzles pointed at the guards defending the Shelter.

"Open the door for me! I am the Boss of Huiyuan! If you don't open the door, I'll blow you all away!"

What came was a group of hooligans and bandits, true dark forces. Before the zombie outbreak, these people still pretended to be civilized, but now that world order had disappeared, they naturally stopped pretending.

They had originally established a Shelter, but it collapsed, so they had no choice but to escape with their supplies. There were over two hundred vehicles, totaling about five hundred people.

Among them, over two hundred were hooligans, and the rest were women. In the eyes of this group, women were also part of their assets.

Tian Ming arrived with Gouzi. Under the searchlights, the burly man was extremely arrogant, and on the half-built city wall, a dense crowd stood.

"Boss, these are not easy to deal with. These people are all strong and robust, at least one or two hundred of them."

"It's alright. Let's talk first. If we can't agree, then let Iron Dude have some fun."

Tian Ming was not flustered. They happened to be short of people for building the city wall. With so many cars and so many supplies delivered to his doorstep, he had no reason to refuse.

The leading burly man, seeing a young man in his twenties step forward, his facial flesh twitched, and his eyes narrowed.

Tian Ming spoke, "Survivor's Paradise welcomes all of you. Please hand over your weapons and supplies, obey management, and enter in an orderly manner."

Tian Ming wore a faint smile. Although the other side had many capable fighters, he had a Metal Zombie like Iron Dude guarding his side. If it really came to a fight, these two hundred strong men would not gain any advantage.

The leading burly man said, "I am Li Qiu, the current Boss of Huiyuan. Kid, where is your leader? Let him come out and kneel to welcome us. Otherwise, I don't mind killing all the men here."

Tian Ming smiled calmly. Behind him, Director Han and Qiu Wuhui had already begun to deploy defenses. What Tian Ming needed to do at this moment was to buy a little more time.

After all, so many people had come. If a fight really broke out, his side might suffer casualties. But the longer he could delay, the fewer casualties there would be.

"The Boss of this Shelter is already standing in front of you," Tian Ming said very calmly.

"You? You're still wet behind the ears. How can you be the Boss here? Hahaha, what a joke!" Li Qiu laughed unrestrainedly, and the men around him also burst into laughter.

Tian Ming was not angry and laughed along with them.

Li Qiu frowned, "What are you laughing at?"

"Laughing at your ignorance, your life is short!"

As soon as Tian Ming finished speaking, the snowflakes floating within an eight-meter radius around him instantly seemed to hit a pause button, frozen in mid-air.

Li Qiu quickly noticed the anomaly, raised the weapon in his hand, and immediately opened fire on Tian Ming.

Tian Ming neither dodged nor flinched. The bullets instantly stagnated in the space around him. The air around him was like transparent sandbags; the projectiles from those light weapons simply could not penetrate.

"Hand over your weapons and supplies, obey management, and you can enter the Shelter. Otherwise...!"

"Dream on!" A hint of fear had already appeared in Li Qiu's eyes. He now understood why Tian Ming, so young, was the Boss of the Shelter.

Bang!

A muffled sound of a sniper rifle came from behind Tian Ming. The bullet passed directly through Tian Ming's protective area. Before Li Qiu could react, his head suddenly exploded into a mist of blood.

From the moment Li Qiu fired, his fate was sealed. Soon, several strongholds guarding the Shelter opened fire simultaneously.

And a Metal Zombie, radiating a metallic glow all over its body, leaped, braving a hail of bullets, and charged straight into the crowd opposite.

At this first exchange, the other side was stunned. It was one thing that their Boss was taken out by the sniper on the other side. But why was there also a zombie that wasn't afraid of automatic weapons?

Those people fought for less than a few minutes before directly throwing away their weapons and surrendering. In this situation, they were already very passive, and fighting on would not yield any chance of victory.

Iron Dude, the Metal Zombie, had the most fruitful results at the end of the battle, taking down more than a dozen. It was not easy for his master to allow him to have some fun, so he had to bite a few more to make it worthwhile.
