147: Hey, this corpse king can speak

“All fire units, avoid the area within ten meters of the Boss,” Meng Xian immediately said in the command channel.

Tian Ming was suspended three meters above the ground, the snow instantly melted, and the air particles in the spherical space with a radius of ten meters vibrated rapidly. Electrons outside the atoms were stripped, forming a powerful electric field.

On the city wall, all the soldiers looked towards that spot, and the defending soldiers on the city wall were stunned. Especially the Ability Users from Hua Xin Group, they instantly felt their abilities were not that impressive.

Tian Ming slowly floated forward. Any zombie that came close would be struck by a thick electric arc. The powerful electric field directly caused the metal particles within the zombie's body to boil. Pop, pop, pop, continuous muffled sounds directly caused lower-level zombies to implode from the electricity.

The crisscrossing electric arcs, accompanied by flashes, were like a pair of invisible large hands, tearing the zombies into pieces. Behind Tian Ming, a wide passage stretched straight forward. Zombies fell one after another in the electric field, and higher-evolved zombies near Tian Ming fled.

Within the zombie horde, the two large figures stood in the distance. Upon seeing Tian Ming enter the fray, they simultaneously rushed towards his location.

“Corpse King!” Tian Ming’s brows furrowed slightly. At this moment, everyone on the city wall also saw these two large figures.

“Meng Xian, just keep up the firepower. I’ll handle these two big guys.” Tian Ming’s figure slowly floated forward.

Meng Xian’s voice came from the city wall: “Boss, be careful.”

Tian Ming floated in the air, his gaze calmly fixed on the Corpse Kings in the distance. These two Corpse Kings were of a higher level than the Tungsten Gold Corpse King they had killed before, and their bodies were also larger.

“Everyone pay attention, defend with all your might, don’t give these zombies a chance!” Meng Xian’s voice echoed on the public channel.

Although the two Corpse Kings were massive, their movement speed was not slow. They quickly charged to within twenty meters of Tian Ming. One of the Corpse Kings extended its massive sharp claws and lunged at Tian Ming.

Tian Ming sneered, and the air instantly solidified. The Corpse King’s immense strength struck the solidified air. Crack, like a crack appearing on a transparent eggshell, Tian Ming’s figure trembled slightly from the shock.

The Corpse King was five meters tall and weighed several tons. The force of that strike was immense. Although Tian Ming’s body had no leverage in the air, the surrounding air briefly lost control during that strike.

A hint of surprise appeared on Tian Ming's face, because these two zombies had a layer of special energy on them, which was of the same origin as his own. Because of this, his never-failing confinement technique had a significant discount on its effectiveness against them.

However, this did not affect Tian Ming's performance. He waved his hand, and a carbon fiber net instantly formed, directly binding one of the Corpse Kings.

In another direction, intense air vibrations transformed into an extremely powerful directional shockwave. In front of the shockwave, a dazzling light formed, which was an energy reaction produced by the instantaneous release of highly compressed air.

This move was an imitation of the high-temperature shockwave produced by a pistol shrimp when it hunts. But the shockwave Tian Ming produced had an instantaneous temperature that had already reached hundreds of thousands of degrees Celsius. When such a high-energy shockwave hit the Corpse King, the Corpse King's body immediately became covered in cracks.

The two Corpse Kings were clearly bewildered. Their intelligence was even higher than that of ordinary humans, and they knew that some humans had gained superpowers, but they had never seen anyone as abnormal as Tian Ming before.

On the city wall, Meng Xian and the others broke out in a cold sweat. They knew that Tian Ming, though seemingly in a precarious one-on-two situation, was actually handling it with ease.

The netted Corpse King trembled all over, and the internal structure of the carbon fiber was completely disintegrated. Meanwhile, the other Corpse King, covered in cracks, had its cracks basically healed within a breath.

The two Corpse Kings retreated repeatedly, opening up a distance of more than twenty meters. With a roar from the Corpse King, all the zombies stopped their attack.

Tian Ming spoke into his earpiece: “Meng Xian, cease fire for now. These two Corpse Kings are probably no less intelligent than humans.”

On the city wall, Meng Xian also saw this scene. Although Tian Ming’s strength was extraordinary, such a rash ceasefire could very likely lead to continuous attacks from the zombies. But this was the Boss’s decision, so Meng Xian naturally wouldn’t say anything.

“Everyone, listen to my command, cease fire temporarily,” Meng Xian said.

“Boss, be careful.”

Tian Ming did not speak; he slowly floated forward, while the two Corpse Kings also slowly retreated. They had also realized that the human in front of them was not to be trifled with.

In the distance, the zombies also stopped their attack. They spread out slightly, leaving an open space of several hundred meters in the middle.

Tian Ming used his mind to summon Iron Dude, asking him to come over and act as a translator. But the Corpse King opposite him spoke, his voice muffled and blurry, yet it was human language.

“Human leader, contribute five hundred humans as food for us, and I will immediately lead the corpse race away and guarantee that no other race will disturb this place for half a year,” one of the Corpse Kings slowly said.

What the hell, zombies can actually speak? Tian Ming’s eyes were full of confusion. Zombies were actually speaking human words, and even negotiating with him.

“What did you say?” Tian Ming coldly demanded.

“Human leader, we do not wish to be your enemies. We only wish to survive. These zombies, like you, only wish to live. If you are willing, we are willing to help you eliminate a portion of the zombies in exchange for five hundred humans,” another Corpse King slowly said.

Iron Dude leaped down from the city wall and came to Tian Ming's side. He was very wary of the two Corpse Kings' presence and dared not go too far forward, only standing behind Tian Ming.

Tian Ming glanced at Iron Dude and said, “Look at them, they can speak, but you can’t. How embarrassing.”

Iron Dude lowered his head and did not retort. The two Corpse Kings, seeing Tian Ming ignore them, spoke with anger in their tone.

“Natural law, survival of the fittest. Our corpse race has evolved to a higher level than you. You will become the nourishment for our evolution.”

Tian Ming shook his head and said, “Your corpse race? What kind of evolution is that? I only see a group of infected poor people who have grown brains again, and have even become more foolish. Besides being a bit stronger physically, your evolution is only towards a lower level. Why don’t you kneel and acknowledge a master, and sign a mind contract with me? Your two strengths are not bad, at least equivalent to our human Superpower Users.”

The two Corpse Kings did not expect Tian Ming to say this, and immediately became enraged.

“Human leader, don’t bully the corpse race too much. If we fight to the death, our race will eventually evolve to surpass you. If you are willing to obey, I can give you a stable environment. Let your people multiply and ensure a certain population in your territory, only needing to regularly pay us people as our food.”

Tian Ming sneered: “From what you’re saying, you want to raise us like pigs?”
