195: Xinxin, you are a waste
The woman did not leave, but walked forward and sat down beside Tian Ming. Her body was suspended in the air, not needing any support.
Tian Ming was still looking at the information Ji Ruping had sent, occasionally making annotations. Black ink appeared out of thin air on the paper, and wherever Tian Ming's eyes focused, his desired words would be annotated.
The woman smiled indifferently, "Indeed, lower beings are lazy. You use a God's ability for such things."
Tian Ming didn't even lift his head, saying, "Xin Xin, you can leave. Don't disturb my work."
"I'm not leaving. From now on, every day, I will kill one person from the Shelter. Until all your people are dead."
Facing such a threat, Tian Ming remained completely unmoved.
A moment later, Xin Xin said somewhat exasperatedly, "Why aren't you angry?"
"Why should I be angry? Go ahead and kill them all. Go now, don't just threaten me verbally," Tian Ming said coldly.
He had no way to deal with this woman, but if she truly intended to do it, she wouldn't have threatened him repeatedly. Tian Ming was no longer falling for it.
Xin Xin, helpless, stood up angrily and passed directly through the door. Once she was out of Tian Ming's control, she disappeared.
Tian Ming sat in his office, unmoved. He was gambling on whether he could truly represent God. Because from beginning to end, this woman had never directly harmed anyone; she had only threatened.
A moment later, the woman passed through the wall and reappeared before Tian Ming. Seeing the woman's gloomy expression, a smile appeared at the corner of Tian Ming's mouth. It seemed he had gambled correctly.
"Why are you back again? Didn't you say you were going to kill everyone? Go on, I'd like to see how you're going to kill everyone," Tian Ming said coldly.
The woman snorted coldly and said, "Tell me, how did you figure it out? Did he tell you the rules he set?"
Tian Ming wouldn't tell Xin Xin that he had gambled. He nodded slightly, smiled, and said nothing.
"The species chosen by the Yuanchu God, and all consciousnesses under its rule, cannot use the rules to harm that species. Once violated, divine power will be withdrawn," the woman said coldly. Since she couldn't threaten Tian Ming, he must have known this rule.
"Oh, I understand now. That means since I am human, you cannot harm humans. No wonder you chose to side with the zombies. So the initiative in this game has always been in my hands," Tian Ming suddenly realized, a playful smile appearing on his face.
By all accounts, it should be so. How could a grandmaster-level Yuanchu God allow those miscellaneous consciousnesses under him to easily end his game? It seemed there was still fun to be had. Knowing this, Tian Ming immediately felt relieved.
Seeing Tian Ming's relieved expression, Xin Xin knew she had been tricked.
"You... you tricked me?"
Tian Ming smiled indifferently, "I don't think so. You knew I couldn't stop you, yet you chose not to act. There must be a limitation. It's just that you're too foolish. You've lived for billions of years for nothing, and you were even outsmarted by a lower being like me. Don't you think you deserve it?"
"You..."
Tian Ming waved his hand and said, "Xin Xin, why don't you help me kill all the zombies? The game can end then. When I'm tired of living, your God might return."
Xin Xin said with a cold face, "I can't. Zombies are also human. Although they have mutated, I can only decide the life and death of a Corpse King who recognizes me as their master. For humans and zombies, the rules I control can only provide positive support; I cannot harm them."
"Then you're useless!" Tian Ming burst into laughter.
The pressure from zombie evolution already made him very uncomfortable. He had originally thought this consciousness would cause him great trouble, but it was tightly restricted by the Yuanchu God.
Tian Ming stopped laughing and said, "Xin Xin, I can overlook what happened before. From now on, you will be loyal to me. Being loyal to me is being loyal to your Yuanchu God, right?"
Xin Xin remained silent and did not answer Tian Ming. She waved her hand slightly, and with a hum, a beetle in the corner of the office slowly grew larger as if being inflated.
Xin Xin said coldly, "Hmph, you want me to compromise? No way. Besides humans and zombies, there are so many other lives on this planet that I can control. I told you, you are not a God. Don't think of yourself as one."
The beetle grew larger and larger, instantly becoming as big as a small pig. However, in less than a minute, the beetle died and stopped growing.
"What's going on?" Xin Xin said discontentedly.
"Not enough oxygen concentration. This planet once had an era called the Giant Insect Era. At that time, insects were very large, and the oxygen concentration in the atmosphere was over forty percent. Insects breathe through spiracles. The larger their bodies, the higher the oxygen concentration they need to ensure efficient respiration. If you force them to grow larger, they will naturally suffocate and die," Tian Ming said seriously.
"Why do you know so much?"
Tian Ming laughed heartily, "When I was in middle school biology class, the teacher said to read some related extracurricular books. So, I did, and I still remember some. Are you trying to create some giant creatures to attack my Shelter, using others to achieve your goal? I advise you to give up on that idea. It's useless. You might as well just obey me."
Tian Ming snapped his fingers, and the dead insect was immediately enveloped in a ball of high heat, carbonized, and decomposed completely. Tian Ming stood up and opened the office door. This consciousness would not be a threat to him, and whether he subdued it or not, he didn't care anymore.
Outside the door, Meng Xian and Director Han were still there. Seeing Tian Ming come out, they immediately stepped forward.
"Boss, where's Ma Xiaoling?" Director Han asked.
Tian Ming turned his head, glanced at Xin Xin who was following him, and sighed, "She's dead. The three missing people were killed by her. She is a Corpse King."
"What?" Both Meng Xian and Director Han were stunned.
Tian Ming said, "Why are you looking at me? I didn't kill her. A woman named Xin Xin killed her. She's right here."
Meng Xian was stunned and asked, "Where?"
"You can't see her. She is a consciousness, and only I can see her now."
Before Tian Ming finished speaking, Meng Xian and Director Han immediately retreated several steps, looking at her warily.
Tian Ming found it amusing and said, "Look how nervous you are. She can't harm humans. Otherwise, I wouldn't be able to stop her, and you would have already met the King of Hell. This matter is a bit complicated, and I'm too lazy to explain it. Just pretend she doesn't exist."
